Barcelona Set to Play First Game at Renovated Camp Nou over the weekend

The club confirmed their first game will take place at the partially upgraded Camp Nou on Saturday. They will welcome Athletic Bilbao in the Spanish league over two years after they moved out to allow renovations to start.

“Returning home was our dream. Finally, it’s happening. We are back at Spotify Camp Nou.”

Not all seats will be available but 45,401 spectators will be allowed to watch based on approved permits. Once fully finished, the Camp Nou is due to hold almost 105,000 spectators, up from the previous 99,000. Officials confirmed recent additions comprise an updated entryway for the team plus modern locker rooms.

Recent Activities

Barcelona held a fan-accessible workout at the Camp Nou on 7 November. The club said they were hoping for permission from Uefa to host the next European match facing Eintracht in December at the stadium. Their recent games have been held at the Olympic Stadium.
