Defiant Nancy insists he is not worried about being fired but the Parkhead faithful display anger after derby defeat.
Wilfried Nancy declared he did not fear the sack, asserting, “The team is extremely close to changing our fortunes,” in the wake of sliding worryingly close to the chopping block with a comprehensive setback against the Ibrox side.
A Second-Half Capitulation Results in Derby Disaster

Nancy’s Persistent Belief
Nancy continues to cling to the fact the side play well for 45 minutes at a time. In fact, if not for poor finishing they could have been better than 1-0 up. “There were positives except the fact that we missed more goals,” he said. “I acknowledge that we lost, but I have also to be fair.
“The standard we had at stages was really, really, really high. This is the reality. And I would not say that if it was untrue. That is the reason, in terms of results, I mentioned this is the same story. Which is why I feel we are really close to things turning around. But for the moment: details, details, details.”
“I saw plenty of positives that we did, once more. However is consistency. My outlook would change the same. That’s why I am a big believer we will manage to fix this.”
Röhl’s Cautious Response
Danny Röhl played down talk of a championship push even after what appeared to be a landmark win. “We take it game by game, then we can gradually build momentum,” he said. “The confidence in the group is immense.”
