Reports indicate that beloved stars Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson are returning to their iconic characters in the next chapter of the Hunger Games film series, titled The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping. The film is currently in production.

The actors will once again portray Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark, respectively. It is believed their roles will probably be featured in a flash-forward sequence, considering the main film series concluded with their characters settled into family life.

The film's story are set roughly two decades prior to the first Hunger Games, focusing on a young Haymitch Abernathy. Haymitch, later known as Katniss's mentor, is portrayed as a tribute in the notorious 50th Hunger Games.

- Ralph Fiennes will appear as a earlier incarnation of the calculating President Snow.
