Jet Transporting US Defense Secretary Required to Touch Down in UK Because of Crack in Cockpit Window
An aircraft transporting Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth was required to make an emergency landing in the UK on Wednesday due to a fissure was discovered in the aircraft's cockpit window, as stated by an official statement which stated that the secretary was unharmed.
"The plane touched down in accordance with standard procedures and everyone onboard, such as Defense Secretary Hegseth, is safe," a spokesperson commented in a online announcement.
He was traveling back from a quick journey to the Belgian capital when the incident occurred.
This occurrence isn't the first occasion that a United States armed forces jet carrying a high-ranking official has suffered mechanical issues.
Earlier this year, a United States Air Force aircraft ferrying the US Secretary of State to Munich was forced to head back to the US capital after experiencing a technical issue.
